Harrison + Megan

Harrison and Megan drove nine hours here and nine hours back for their engagement session, and I could not be more honored. Their love for one another shines through each photo. I really think the best way to tell a love story is through photographs. Yes, words can move mountains, but nothing is as beautiful as seeing the mountain for yourself; experience its beauty with your very own eyes. That's how I feel about my job as an engagement and wedding photographer. We have one day, sometimes just a few hours, to rightfully portray the love story before us. Harrison and Megan, thanks for making my story telling a piece of cake. Your love for one another is inevitable.

Orange + Cranberry Face Wash // Clean Living

I'm not lying when I say this is the best smelling Clean Living recipe I've ever whipped up. Not only that, but cranberries and oatmeal are very beneficial for your skin's health. You can read more about that here and here. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
1/2 cup oatmeal
dried orange peels from half an orange
1/4 cup of cranberries
2 tbsp coconut oil

Simply combine all of the ingredients in a food processor, and store in a tightly sealed container. Because the orange peels are a thicker substance, consider blending them first and then combining them with the rest of the ingredients.

To use, take a small scoop with your finger and massage gently on your face, exfoliating any rough areas. Rinse with lukewarm water.

Giveaway from Chalk White Arrow

Today's giveaway is a customized hanging lamp from Sara over at Chalk White Arrow! I asked Sara to share a little bit about herself:

Hi there! My name is Sara spelled without an h. I'm a brown haired, brown eyed girl obsessed with photography, beautiful spaces, simple design and personal style with a unique twist, and I share these things as well as my little family over on my blog, Chalk White Arrow.  My husband, Camden, is a blonde haired, blue eyed hunk who is my personal fashion guru and knows everything and anything about bikes and shoes. We have a little white haired fluff man, Kramer, named after our favorite character on our favorite show, Seinfeld, whose personality resembles that of a human more than that of a pup. I have a very small light shop, also called Chalk White Arrow, where I sell handmade light pendents that are wrapped in fine yarn, customizable in pretty much any color, and are finished off with a gold vintage socket at the end.  I am so glad Kinsey was willing to share her light here with you today and look forward to making one of you your very own. Don't be afraid to stop on over and hi ... thanks guys!

We are so happy about our new lamp and think it's a lovely accent to our little home. We chose a gold yarn and the Long and Skinny Edison Light bulb. It is hanging it our living room above our little plant corner, and we love the delicate touch it brings to the room. Today, one lucky winner gets the chance to have a customized lamp of their own! But enough small talk, here's how you could be that lucky winner...
